Dear Videolib-ers,
The American Library Association (ALA) Film & Media Round Table (FMRT) is
seeking candidates to run for three officer positions during ALA's 2019
elections: Vice Chair/Chair-Elect, Treasurer, and FMRT representative on
ALA Council, a new position that has been created since our membership now
exceeds 1% of the total membership of ALA (meaning we are no longer a
"small round table," and thus are entitled to our own representative). All
personal members in good standing of FMRT and ALA are eligible to run. More
information about the first two positions can be found in the FMRT Bylaws
<http://www.ala.org/rt/vrt/governance/vrtbylaws/vrtbylaws> and Handbook
<http://www.ala.org/rt/sites/ala.org.rt/files/content/governance/ALA%20Film%20and%20Media%20Round%20Table%20Governance%20Document.docx>
documents
on our website, and more information about ALA Council can be found here
<http://www.ala.org/aboutala/basic-guide-ALA-council>. Please contact me
off list if you have any questions, or if you would like to nominate
yourself or someone else for one of these positions! The deadline to
complete the nomination process is February 1, 2019.
Thanks!
Andy Horbal
Chair, FMRT Nominating Committee
