HI all,
Does anyone know if a 1981 Indian film, Thaneer Thaneer (Water Water), directed by K. Balachander<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kailasam_Balachander> is available anywhere? Per WorldCat, only Harvard has a DVD of it.
Anyone?
Rhonda

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.

Looks like they purchased it from a company (store?) named “Movie Land” in Chennai. Usually these DVDs are purchased on location (i.e. in this case, a librarian traveling to India on an acquisition trip).
